Estimate Your Home’s Value with all the information you have collected. Use the most similar homes that are closest to your home. They should all be approximately the same size and have the same number of features, such as bedrooms and baths. After picking the homes you plan to use as comparable sales, determine their square footage(tax records) and divided that total into the sale price. This will render the price per sq. foot. Do the same for your home.Compare the price per sq. ft, of your home to the price per. sq. ft. of your comparable home sales. This should give you a pretty good guide to the current value of your home. The information you have now is ready to be presented to the tax assessor. How to do this?
