National Home Sales Fall This April

National and Metro Atlanta(includes Gwinnett County) pending home sales fell in April. Pending sales mean contracts to purchase homes, but the contracts have not closed yet. Nationally, the pending sales fell 11..6% from this March, 2011 and were down 26.%% from April 2010. Remember last March buyers were scrambling to close and get their federal $$$tax credit. There is no tax credit this year. Also, this  April,  weather (floods, tornadoes, rain), high gas prices , tight lender credit and  high unemployment  have all  contributed to this decline.
Again, the good news is CLEAR: low interest rates, lower market values for homes and large home inventories make for a buyer’s market. What a great time to purchase a home to live in or invest in. Try a trashed REO home and use a 203K home loan  to remode/fix it  up. They seem to be the best deals going now.  Call EARL @ 770-377-5793 or eamil: EARL@EARLPARK.NET
