Good News–Foreclosure Notices Are Lower in 2011

Save Me!!

Finally some good news; foreclosure notices in Metro-Atlanta are down to 109,548. Remember, foreclosure notices are just notices of intended foreclosure. Owners may repay their back payments, sell their homes or complete a workout agreement with their lender. In all such cases, there is no foreclosure. Still many homes still complete the process and are sold on the courthouse steps. Metro-Atlanta is comprised of 13 counties. In 2010 there were 127,140 Notices of Foreclosure. Today, foreclosed home sales comprise 1/3 of all home sales for the Metro-Atlanta Area.

Also, The National Association of Realtors reports that the median price of a home sale in this area fell to $87,800.00 in October of 2011 while the Median price of a home sale in 2010 was $109,900.00. What a great time to purchase a new home in the Metro-Atlanta area. Need that home? Email: EARL@EARLPARK.NET
